Question by Ibrahim J: How do we call in English something like a teddy used in clothes shops, dressed like a human being?
There are things like teddy placed in front of shops that sell clothes. These things are dressed like humans and are used to show custommers the variety of clothes available for sale at the shop. Can someone please tell me the name of this thing?

not sure why you call it a teddy, if it’s genuinely human-like we’d call it a dummy

If you mean the human shaped dolls then it’s called a mannequin.

what the dolly/dummy things in the shop window… Mannequins, also used for various other things as they can be made for a purpose… such as CPR training/first aid for simulation of airways/breathing and they were used for nuclear test to show effects… Mainly used in shop windows though…
