Many people say that people working at Vogue or other major fashion publications make close to nothing, if that’s true then how do they afford all their amazing clothes?

Magazine editors and staff usually get to try products before anyone else for free so companies can get a good review in the magazine, for publicity sake. And yes, sometimes clothes come with that package. Often times though, they shop at low key places just like us, TopShop, BluePlate and H&M and spend bucks on maybe two major peices a year without discounts. These are people who also know what makes a wardrobe fantastic, without spending too much, and so it gives the impression they’re laying down major cash. If you really read their articles, you can see the tips they hand down to readers on how they do it.

I think they get clothes for free, haha. for real, models sometimes get free clothes, that’s how some are paid for their work. and some just take it anyway. no big deal apparently.
No, they do not get discounts. If you’re part of the fashion elite, you will get free stuff every now and then and get clothes from designers to wear at events, but the regular employees definitely do not.
Many wear clothes they find in many stores. Just because a piece of clothing isn’t designer doesn’t mean it looks bad. Fashion employees know how to make things look good. They have personal styles and great taste.
Also, there are many ways to get designer clothes for a fraction of the price. They just shop smart and work hard to make what they’re wearing look expensive and amazing.
